Privacy policy

In short

This site doesn’t track you: no analytics, no ads, no embedded social media, no forms. Fonts are served from the site itself, with no request to a third party. The only personal data we handle is what you send us by email.

Data controller

Guillaume Salier, sole trader (Studio Modulo), 16 rue Saint-Louis, 57100 Thionville, France — hi@stmodulo.com.

Email conversations

When you write to us, we process:

  • your name, email address and, where relevant, your company and contact details;
  • the content of your messages and any attachments.

Purpose: replying to your request, preparing a quote and following up on our relationship. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive (GDPR article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

Retention: 3 years from our last contact. If we work together, contractual and accounting records are kept for the periods required by law (up to 10 years for accounting records).

Server logs

Like any web server, the one hosting this site may record connection data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser). It is used only to keep the site running and secure, on the basis of our legitimate interest, and is kept for no longer than one year.

Recipients and processors

Your data is never sold, rented or shared. Only the following have access to it:

  • Guillaume Salier, to handle your request;
  • OVH SAS (France), which hosts the site;
  • Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace), which provides our email.

Google may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision, under which Google is certified, and by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

The site sets a single cookie, stmodulo-theme, and only when you pick the light or dark theme. It remembers that choice for 12 months and holds no personal data. Because it serves a feature you ask for, it is exempt from consent under French law (article 82 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés), which is why you see no cookie banner.

You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and French data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to the processing of and port your data, and to set instructions for what happens to it after your death.

To exercise them, write to hi@stmodulo.com. We reply within one month.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France — cnil.fr.

Changes

This policy may change, for example if an analytics tool is ever added. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. See also the legal notice.
